Golden Principles of Hadith Compilation
While the Qur’an was compiled and standardized under the guidance of the Caliphs, the compilation of Hadith remained a subject of debate. It was undertaken by individuals in the 2nd and 3rd centuries Hijrah, As a result, authentic pearls of wisdom were mixed with unreliable reports, which are used by unscruplious elements for their mischievous designs. This necessitates careful distinction.
After extensive deliberation, the following Seven Golden Principles of Hadith Knowledge (علم الحديث کے سات سنہری اصول – علم الحديث سبع قواعد ذهبية) have been derived from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ:
