Corruption of Religion: Are you sick of Religion? "فساد الدين : هل أنت مريض من الدين؟"

In this episode of "The Deen Show" Dr. Brown discusses the phenomenon of people conning/cheating in the name of God. Religion and how it got corrupted and how you can still find the truth amongst all the false man-made religions.

Dr.Lawrence Brown:
A product of Christian-American ancestry dating back to the year 1677, up until his conversion to Islam in April of 1994, Dr. Brown easily could have passed as an example of a man who lived the stereotypical American dream. A graduate from two Ivy League universities with subspecialty training in ophthalmology, Dr. Brown served as a respected ophthalmologist in the U.S. Air Force for a period of eight years. Midway through his Air Force career, Dr. Brown's ‘ideal American family' included a wife, two children, and the requisite two cars and a dog. His country home was crowded with the full array of comforts and toys which clutter the lives of those preoccupied with materialism. Yet Dr. Brown ended up sacrificing virtually everything he had worked for when he faced a religious conviction that overturned his lifelong priorities. Following a personal miracle through which the life of his daughter was saved, Dr. Brown redirected his focus to religious study in an attempt to make good on a promise made to God. In the process, Dr. Brown followed the chain of revelation through the Abrahamic religions from Judaism to Christianity and, in the end, to Islam. It is the result of that study that he relates in this series of thought-provoking books. In the same manner that Dr. Brown's choice of religion confronted his slice of the American dream, so too do his religious conclusions challenge the Western religous establishment. Laurence Brown received his B.A. from Cornell University, his MD from Brown University Medical School, and his ophthalmology residency training at  George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. His immediate family presently consists of his wife, three daughters, and an ever changing assortment of parrots and hamsters.

  2. http://www.realityofgod.com :  "Life’s greatest tragedy is to lose God and not to miss Him." wrote F.W. Norwood. Atheists satisfy both criteria in this formula; Agnostics fall into a different category entirely, but most visitors to this website seem to feel they have lost God, and miss Him very much. These readers believe in an omniscient, omnipotent Creator and Sustainer of the universe, but have not found a religion that makes complete sense to them, or that demands tenets of faith they can fully accept.

A historic moment in the Arab world

لحظة تاريخية في العالم العربي
As a democratic revolution led by tech-empowered young people sweeps the Arab world, Wadah Khanfar, Al Jazeera's director-general, shares a profoundly optimistic view of what's happening in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and beyond. In the first talk posted online from the TED 2011 conference in California, Khanfar describes the powerful moment when people realised they could step out of their homes and ask for change.

Corona & Attitude of Ulema of Pakistan - Point to Ponder

Faith is entirely a personal matter, which cannot be measured or quantified. Anyone who declares to believe in 6 Fundamentals and 5 Pillars of Islam is considered as a Muslim even if he lacks in practice.
We find many people looking "more Muslim" than others due to their outlook and activities in display, yet it's not a measuring  tool for their level of faith , which is only known to Allah. However they consider ONLY themselves  to be entitled to  exercise control on religion, which is contested because authenticity of any opinion on religious matter is conditional to the reference and authority from Holy Scripture.
Allah has not authorized anyone to present their personal opinions …
